Q: I don’t know much about hypnosis other than its something I would really like to learn.
A: You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of hypnosis. On enrolment students will be given a reading list. We expect students to have read some of the readings prior to attending the course.
Q: Why should I choose to train with you?
A. Your trainer, Susy Hall, has years of experience using hypnosis to help clients make positive changes to their lives. Susy has a large successful practice and understands the challenges that hypnotists may face in setting up and running a professional hypnosis practice.
Q: Will I know enough to practice as a hypnotist?
A: The curriculum has been developed with the help of leaders in the field of hypnosis from all over the world. The curriculum is designed to ensure that you know how to practice as a competent and ethical professional. When you attend the course you will have plenty of opportunity to practice with real people. The National Guild of Hypnotist is the largest and oldest association in the world and as such is committed to the curriculum and the training of those who teach the curriculum.
Q: I have been to courses before and I felt that I was just one of many. I wanted to ask questions but there just wasn’t time.
A: Class size is kept to a maximum of 16 students, so you get a great deal of individual attention. Having small classes enables students to form friendships and peer support.
Those who choose to reside at the Kooralbyn Retreat whilst completing their studies will also enjoy spending time with other students, after class finishes, in tranquil country surroundings.

Q: What will I be able to do after I finish the course?
A: You are entitled to practice as a professional in the field of hypnotism, in accordance with the laws in the country where you reside and practice.
Q: What kind of organization is the National Guild of Hypnotists?
A: The NGH is the largest and most prestigious worldwide hypnosis certifying organization. It has regular educational conferences in Marlborough, Massachusetts with well over 1500 participants. There are also NGH sponsored legal advocates who participate in legislatures all over the country representing the Guild’s members. The Guild is highly supportive, having a lending library of videos and audio tapes, referrals, legislative support, regular local meetings, and much more.
Q: Do I need to be registered to practice hypnosis?
A: In most countries you do not need to be registered to practice as a hypnotist.
Q: What will I have to do to stay recognised by the NGH
A: You will need to undertake continuing education (CUE’s) All CEU's for the NGH are calculated hour for hour (1 hour = 1 CEU) You need 15
CEU's per year.
Q: Do I have to do any exams?
A: Yes there is an exam. However, your instructor will make sure that
you have covered and understood the content of the course so well that you should have no trouble completing the exam.
